Where you can actually get a padel lesson in Lithuania
176 coaches, 38 clubs out of 62. We counted which Lithuanian padel venues list a coach and which list none — and why the distance to your nearest court says almost nothing about the distance to your nearest coach.
Lithuania has enough padel courts. They went up over the past couple of years in every larger city and a fair number of districts. Coaches did not follow at the same pace. This is a look at how the country's 176 padel coaches are actually distributed: which clubs field a full team, which have nobody, and why a map of courts is not a map of places you can learn to play.
The snapshot
One number needs care. 220 counts coach-to-club listings, not people. 39 coaches teach at more than one venue, so they appear in the club tables more than once. There are 176 distinct coaches — and listings, not headcount, are the right measure when the question is what a player will find at a particular club.
Two clubs in five have nobody
Of the 62 Lithuanian padel clubs in the registry, 38 list a coach. The other 24 — 39% — list none at all. You can book a court there; there is nobody to take a lesson from.
That figure on its own overstates the problem. The clubs without a coach are the small ones: they hold 67 of the country's 346 courts, which means 81% of all courts belong to clubs that do have one. Two clubs in five, but only a fifth of the courts. In practice most players can reach a coach — the gap is at the level of a specific venue, not a city.
Where the coaches are
Even among clubs that have coaches, the distribution is lopsided. The largest, Mostai Padel Club with 19 coaches, holds 9% of every listing in the country on its own, and the 9 biggest clubs hold half.
Coach-to-club listings. A coach who teaches at two venues is counted at both.
The curve below shows the same thing from the other side: how many clubs it takes to account for a given share of all coaches. It rises steeply and early — this is a market where a few large academies sit alongside a long tail of clubs with one or two coaches.

The full list is below — the 38 clubs that list at least one coach today. The courts-per-coach column is a rough measure of how hard it is to get a slot: the higher the number, the more court time each coach has to cover.
Coaching staff size
Staff size is what separates a club that teaches from a club that rents out courts. Three clubs field 15 coaches or more — those are academies, with a timetable and shifts. At the other end, 10 clubs have exactly one coach: if that person is ill or moves on, the club has no coaching at all.

Coverage by locality
The same pattern is sharper at city level. Vilnius has 17 clubs but only 12 list a coach. Kaunas has 5 clubs and 5 with a coach, the best coverage in the country. In Šiauliai exactly one of 4 clubs has coaches — but it has 9 of them, so the city does have coaching, all of it in one building.
Localities with at least three clubs. The gap between the two bars says whether the coaches sit at the big venues or the small ones.
The second bar is longer than the first almost everywhere, and that is the most useful reading here: coaches are where the courts are densest. In Alytus one club out of 3 has a coach, but that club holds 64% of the city's courts.
The table lists all 19 localities in the registry, including those with no coach at all. There are 8 of those, holding 27 courts between them.

Coaches who work across clubs
39 of 176 coaches — 22% — teach at more than one club, and the busiest works at 4 venues. It is a small group that matters more than its size suggests: they carry method between clubs, they are often the reason a small venue has any coaching at all, and they make clubs in the same city compete on something other than price.
Close to four in five coaches are tied to a single club.
What a profile tells you
Coverage is only half the question. The other half is what a player learns about a coach before getting in touch. In the directory 171 of 176 coaches have a photo (97%) and 130 have a description (74%), but only 29 list a qualification (16%).
Photos and descriptions usually arrive with the profile from a club website; qualifications and social links are added by the coach.
The gap between the first two bars and the last two is not random. A photo and a description usually come across from the club's own website when a coach is added to the directory; qualifications, social links and specialisms only appear once the coach takes the profile over themselves. Until that happens a player is choosing on a name and a face — which in practice means choosing whoever was recommended to them.

How to find a coach
The practical conclusion is simple: start from the venue, not the coach. Almost every coach here is attached to a specific club, so your nearest venue with a coaching team is a better answer than a name you found on social media.
- Check whether your venue has a coach at all. Two in five do not, and checking is the quickest way to save an evening.
- A bigger team means easier scheduling. At a one-coach club the availability question often ends in waiting until next month.
- Ask about level, not price. Directory prices are unreliable for now (see the methodology) and what matters for a beginner is whether the coach works with beginners.
For clubs: what these numbers say
- Coaching is the club's differentiator. A court can be booked anywhere; a team is the thing the club down the road cannot copy in a week.
- One coach is a risk, not a team. At 10 clubs the entire coaching operation depends on one person's calendar.
- Having a coach is not the same as showing one. Only 16% of profiles list a qualification, even though clubs generally know what their coaches have done.

What does a padel lesson cost in Lithuania?
This report deliberately carries no prices. Most of the rates in the directory were not set by the coach — they are a technical default left behind when profiles were imported from club websites. Publishing that as a market rate would be misleading, so prices, ratings and availability are all excluded from this cut.
Can a padel coach work at several clubs?
Yes, and 39 of 176 coaches do — about 22%. The busiest coach teaches at 4 venues. These are the people who tie a city's separate clubs into one market.
Methodology
The data was collected on 18 August 2026 from two public Rallio API endpoints — /api/trainers (176 coaches) and /api/arenas (62 clubs, 346 courts) — so anyone can reproduce every figure in this report. A coach appears in the directory when they are linked to at least one venue and hold an active account.
Which venues are counted. The report covers arenas — venues with indoor courts — and outdoor clubs, meaning outdoor courts with a club around them: changing rooms, a bar, coaching. It leaves out the 12 registry entries that are outdoor courts and nothing else: municipal grounds, school courts, a court behind a hotel or a guest house. A coach is missing from those not because the club decided against one but because there is no club — keeping them in the denominator would score a shortfall against a place that was never able to offer the service. That scope puts the registry at 62 clubs, 346 courts and 19 localities rather than 74, 355 and 25. No venue that lists a coach falls into the exclusion, so every coach-side figure — 176 coaches, 220 listings, 38 clubs with a coach — is unchanged.
Listings, not people. 220 is a count of coach-to-club links: a coach teaching at 4 venues is counted four times in the club and locality tables. There are 176 distinct coaches. One coach lists a venue that is not in the public registry; that single link is excluded from every club-level cut.
What is missing, and why. Prices are absent on purpose: 47 coaches carry a non-zero rate but 43 of them carry exactly the same figure — a technical default left behind when profiles were imported from club websites, not a decision by any coach. Publishing it as a market rate would be misleading. Ratings are absent for the same reason (the public directory holds no reviews yet), as is availability (two coaches have built a schedule). When those fields are filled in by people rather than by an import, they deserve their own report.
Comparison with the earlier report. Our annual review of 20 July 2026 cited 183 coaches. That is a different sample, one that also included unclaimed profiles with no venue attached, so 176 is not a decline and the two numbers should not be compared.
Localities. The registry carries "Klaipėdos rajonas" and "Klaipėdos raj." as two labels for one locality; they are merged here. The Latvian venue in the registry (Liepāja) is excluded from every figure. Registry entries with no courts are shown with a zero.
